Please see below some frequently asked questions to our international team.

I live outside the UK but want to study at Lincoln College, what do I need to do?

Send an email to International@lincolncollege.ac.uk requesting information on the application process and include the name of the course you want to study, if you have made up your mind but don’t worry if you have not settled on a course when you make your enquiry.

DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY THROUGH THE LINCOLN COLLEGE WEBSITE AS THIS MAY ADD A TIME DELAY TO YOUR DETAILS REACHING THE INTERNATIONAL TEAM.

What happens once I have sent the email to the International Team?

You will receive an email from the International Team which includes a flowchart detailing the application process and links to several areas on the www.gov.uk website, English Language requirements if English is not your first language and  The link related to Student Visa information.

If the course you are interested in is at Level 3 you will also receive an International specific application form to complete and return, which includes a list of documents required as part of the application process.

If the course you are interested is at Level 4 or above you will need to apply through UCAS and the email will contain advise on where to find the link for this on the Lincoln College website.

Can I study a course that is part time or below Level 3?

Unfortunately to be eligible for a Student Visa you need to study a course that is full time and at Level 3 or above.

Can an International student apply for any course run by Lincoln College?

Yes, providing the course is at Level 3 or above, full time, and you have achieved the required educational level in your home country to meet the entry requirements for the course.

How will I know if my educational background will meet the entry requirements of the course I want to study?

As part of the application process we request your educational transcripts and graduation certificates which we have verified and checked for UK equivalence.

If English is not my first language what is the level I need to achieve in the SELTS/IELTS?

You will need to take an Academic version of one of the UKVI recognised test providers and for a Level 3 course you need to achieve 5.5 or above overall and 4.5 or above per band, for Level 4 and above courses you need to achieve 6.0 or above overall and 5.5 or above per band. The test must be less than 2 years old at the time of application.

If I do not have an English language test certificate can I still apply for a course?

You can still apply for a course but any offer made will be dependent on achieving and submitting a successful test result

As an International applicant can I get a scholarship or are there any funded courses I could apply for?

Lincoln College does not offer scholarships or funded courses but your home country may offer help with funding to study abroad.
